I am a Gay man in my forties in the prime of life!

I live with my legally married spouse, “Husbandji”, in a lovely home known as the “Ashram at Pooh Corner” in the overrated delightful city of Springfield, Massachusetts. We have been together for eighteen years.

We both work for a “Fortune 100″ company in the area, which shall remain nameless, as I like my job and want to keep it!

I am an American of English/French-Canadian/German ancestry, while Husbandji is a full-blooded Italian-American. So, it makes for an interesting marriage!

We both have numerous hobbies. For example, Husbandji collects Barbie dolls and is a huge fan of Girl Groups from the Sixties, and basicaly anything from that era. I collect Steiff tigers and Godzilla memorabilia. I am also a HUGE fan of Godzilla films and Bollywood!

Our musical tastes differ too. Husbandji prefers music from the 50’s and 60’s while I prefer Classical (primarily Baroque), Opera, Classical Indian music and pop music from the 80’s.

Both of our families live in the area, which brings us to our cast of characters:

Tiamat:Husbandji’s darling mother. You will never meet a more self-obsessed, self-absorbed, ignorant woman in all your born days. In addition to her other “charms”, she is also of the opinion that no matter what age her children are, they will always be seven years old in her eyes, and therefore require her constant “input” into every aspect of their lives. If I ever wrote a book about her escapades, no publisher in their right mind would ever believe that it was anything other than a work of fiction. But every word would be true…

“M”:Husbandji’s older brother. A fundamentalist Christian who never had much ambition, which is why at the age of 52 he’s a crossing guard. He’s also decided that he wants to be my BFF, much to my dismay…

IW (Idiot Wife):M’s wife. A 62 year old with the mentality of a developmentally challenged 16 year old. This woman doesn’t have the sense that God gave rocks. She also tends to dress inappropriately, so that most days she looks like ten pounds of potatoes in a five pound sack.

“A”: Husbandji’s younger brother. Okay in small doses. Unfortunately, he inherited his mother’s self-centeredness, so outside of family gatherings, we usually only hear from him if he has a problem or needs our help with something. He is perpetually late for everything. He’s 37 years old. He has his MBA and is a CPA, but he still doesn’t know what he wants to do for a career.

The Darling Nephew: A’s son. A delightful little tyke. More on him as the years progress undoubtedly…

Currently only Husbandji’s family has been making appearances in the blog.

That’s because my family is normal is less colorful.

Never fear! More characters will be added to the Universe as they start to play a bigger role in the grand scheme of things. For now, these are the major players!
