Road Trip Meme

That sweetheart Dewey has tagged me with the Road Trip Meme, so hear goes!

This is what you need to do:

– Pick five CDs for the trip.

– Pick three essential items.

– Pick one outrageous wardrobe item (something that will make you stand out at a party; you must own this item already).

Five CDs:

Pet Shop Boys-Discography (or really any PSB album. This is their “Greatest Hits” album, so it is a perennial favorite!)

At Worst…The Best of Boy George and Culture Club (Their greatest hits plus some of the “Boy’s” early hits too!)

The Very Best of Cher

Erasure-Nightbird (Not a “Greatest Hits” collection, believe it or not! Some faaabulous songs on here though!)

Never Better-Stories from Lake Wobegon (Although I don’t always enjoy the music on A Prairie Home Companion, I never miss Garrison Keillor’s tales from “the little town that time forgot and the decades cannot improve … where all the women are strong, all the men are good looking, and all of the children are above average…”)

Three Essential Items:

My Cell Phone (How did we ever manage without them?!!).

My MP3 player.

Whatever book I’m currently reading.

One Outrageous wardrobe item:

I can’t think of a single thing that would qualify. How dull am I?!! ;P

I will tag whomever wants to play this meme! Enjoy!!

Donna Noble: One in a Million

A tribute to the Doctor’s current, faaaaabulous, Companion!

P.S. To my friend, Dewey. Courage, my Dear. We’ll know her fate soon enough…

I’m not sure if this is a new song from Pet Shop Boys, as I’ve never heard it before, but, it is FAAAAAAAAAAAAABULOUS! Enjoy!!

I’m Being Difficult

I hope that this doesn’t cause anyone any undue tsuris, but, I’ve decided to go back to the original title for this blog. The web address remains the same. Thanks for understanding!

P.S. I’m a stinker, ain’t I?

Oh No He Didn’t!!

Supposedly, this is a true story about the Republican presidential candidate, and it is a riot!

Teddy is almost six years old, and is a Poodle/Jack Russell Terrier(?) mix.

Teddy hasn’t had the easiest of lives.

As a puppy, he was given to the daughter of a family in the area.

At first she was delighted with him, but, as the months went by, she got bored with him and he ended up being neglected.

The mother of the family eventually turned him over to a rescue agency as she felt that he wasn’t getting the attention that he deserved.

So he was adopted by another family as a “gift” to their daughter.

But, apparently the daughter of that family got bored with him as well, and he was returned to the rescue agency again.

Only this time, he hadn’t been cared for quite as well.

When he was returned to the rescue agency, his fur was matted and unkept. And he had somehow contracted Lyme Disease. (It was suspected that he had been tied outside for long periods of time.)

“This time”, the rescue agency said, ” we will only let Teddy be adopted by a family where HE will be “the child”, and he will get all of the love and care that he so richly deserves”.

But where would they find such a family?

Enter the Ashram at Pooh Corner.

I saw Teddy’s photo and read his story on the agency’s website, and it was love at first site.

Husbandji felt the same way.

After going through the adoption process and a home visit/interview, we were asked by the agency if we would like to adopt Teddy.

What do you think we said, my minions?

Teddy joined our family this past Friday, where he will have a “forever home” for the rest of his life…

“Change” is a good thing, don’t you think? 🙂

The Change is Coming…

this weekend! 😉
